Welcome back to Mythology! Today, we'll be continuing the story from last time.
Lesson:
Ymir the giant satisfied his hunger using the great large cow. But the cow was hungry too. So she licked the salt off the great ice mountains. As she licked, a head of hair emerged from the ice, but the cow kept licking. Finally, the cow licked all the ice and a mighty man emerged. Ymir did not like the man, for his heart was warm and kind. The sons of Ymir loved to work evil on the earth, and the iceman's sons became the gods; their chief being Odin, Father of all things. Odin and his brothers waged war against the giants, especially Ymir, whom in the end they slew. After the fight when Ymir was slain, such a river of blood flowed from his wounds that it drowned all the other giants, except one who escaped in a boat with only his wife and sailed to the edge of the world. And from him rose a new race of giants, who at every opportunity issued from their land of twilight and desolation to harm the gods. And we'll hear more of that story next time.
Assignment:
Your assignment this week is to plan out battle tactics. If you were a god/goddess with only one element power and you were facing Ymir and all the other giants, how would you win the war. Send your answer and/or picture to everythingdollwebsite@gmail.com, and make sure to put in Mythology #2 in subject!
